Tote In The Making

My patterns look a mess to some people. Could be because I make notes to myself on them all the time.
This day I'm making a large tote for a custom order.

I love the color combo for the interior.

Top stitching the finished tote ....trying to keep a steady hand!

The finished product. I hope she loves it as much as I do!

Wine Tasting Weekend

This last weekend I was off to the Willamette Valley in Oregon for a little wine tasting with friends.

1st stop was at the sokol Blosser Winery where I picked up a bottle of Evolution for my son Brock and his wife Kaylyne (their fave!)
It was a beautiful Friday to spend in the Valley

The Pinot Noir at Stoller Vineyards was to die for!

The gang: on the front left is my new friend, Janice, then Margaret, me, and Cheri (in white)...what fun!

I'm not much of a fan of sake', but we thought we'd try a tasting at Sake' One in Forest Grove.

I believe sake' is an aquired taste....

New Shopping Experience~

This last weekend, my friend Robin and I went to the opening of The Bravern in Bellevue. It's described as an outdoor European-inspired village with a one-of-a-kind collection of world-class merchants. We went right for the Jimmy Choo shop. The first pair of shoes I looked at was going for $995...hummm should I get the silver or gold tone? (ha, in your dreams!)

Looking around the Louis Vuitton store, and seeing the price of their new line of bags, made me love my new little black & white bag even more!

........ in front of Prada & Robin showing off my new little bag

In the square...Robin checking out her freebies and being entertained by a guitarist.......

Here I am sitting in front of one of our favorite stores, Anthropologie, enjoying my mimosa.

Anyway, if you'd like to check out the Bravern on line just click here~

New Bag With Interchangeable Frame.......

I found this cool interchangeable metal purse frame, and decided to try it out. I used this fun black and white polka dot fabric, and of course had to use a red lining.

I added a little interior zipper pocket.....I loooove pockets.

I made rounded bottom corners instead of my usual square style....

~*~And here's the finished bag~*~

I added a silver chain for a little extra style. The fun thing about this bag, is that the metal frame is reusable. You just twist off the little nuts on the side of the frame, and slide on a new bag....ingenious!
Already I'm thinking of the changes I'll make on the next one; larger, deeper, restyle the top ruffle.......

Harley Ride to Leavenworth

We woke up to sunshine last Sunday. It was 6AM, and even though it was still August, I swear there was a hint of autumn in the air. What a great day to jump on the back of the Harley and take a ride with some friends.
After stopping by Starbuck’s for our caffeine fix, we took off for the back roads to Leavenworth. If you’ve never been there, and live in the area, you’ve got to make a note to go….you’ll love it! A little bit of Bavarian country right here in Washington.

Our friends, Susan & Lonnie, all decked out in their leathers....saftey 1st!

Strolling down the sidewalk past a great little book store called A Book For All Seasons. They sell new & used books.

Lots of artist vendors lining the main street.

Loooooove that yellow car.......

The streets are lined with overflowing flower baskets.....why can't I ever get MY baskets to look like that?

We always have lunch at Gustoav's. I love to eat on their roof top garden. You have the most amazing views from up there.
Check out the town for yourself....
