I now have a P.H.D.

Yup, I've given myself a P.H.D.

One day during the last week of December, I ventured into my sewing room after a 3 week holiday sabbatical. I CLIMBED over boxes and left over craft fair goodies from the Fall/Winter 2010 craft shows...(goodies that should have been put away as soon as the LAST one was over).

I told myself now was a good time to get (re)organized, clean things out, and put things BACK where they belong. In other words.....take a good look around, and decide what I should do with the beginning of a

NEW YEAR.

As I climbed, dug and tossed, I found things I'd forgotten I had.

Do YOU ever do that?

Do YOU ever find things you've forgotten you had?

Or projects you've STARTED, and then forgotten?

Well, if you have, then do what I've done!

Here's a few of the P.H.D.s I found.......

Hummm, this one was just being made with no plan......just cool fabric! Would love to finish and see what it becomes!

Gosh, I'd forgotten all about this new large style clutch! I was going to add straps.

This little baby was going to be made into a Maggie Bag. Great fabric!

What Happened To December?

The other day, I wrote the date on a check....

1-11-11.

Wait! It's January already???

What happened to December?

Time passes so quickly sometimes it makes my head spin.

Sooooo, let's see; what happened in December:

First, we went up to the mountains looking for the perfect Christmas tree.

Beautiful, snow covered mountains. Looking, searching for the perfect tree.

Let's look over here......or there.......wait!

Look!!

I see one!

The perfect one!

And there she is!!!

Just waiting for us to find her.

Just waiting for us to find her and take her home.....

to be our perfect Christmas tree.

Taking her through the woods.....

Up into the truck she goes........

Hurray!! Now for some fun in this great, fluffy,fluffy snow!!

We're all set to have fun in the fluffy snow!

What FUN!

Then home to start decorating for the HOLIDAYS!

The tree is up, the candles are lit, and the garland is hung......

Bring out the ornaments...

A Beautiful Fall Day

It's a gorgeous day, and my friend Frosty wants to go to the park; BUT, I have this little voice nagging at me....."you know, you should be in your sewing room....

You know, you should be increasing your inventory....

You know......."

Guess where I ended up? yup, the park. Frosty's fave!

I spotted my favorite tree during Autumn......getting closer...... .....and closer.....

....there SHE is!!!....in all her glory!
